JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:
The Area General Manager directs, manages and optimizes a location(s) overall operation including production, sales, marketing, customer service and financial performance (P&L). Ensures the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with COUNTY’s quality standards and customer delivery requirements. Set and drive sales initiatives ensuring price, revenue and profit goals. In addition, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of an assigned location (s). Carry out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the COUNTY’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the plant staff to ensure the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with company quality requirements.
· Evaluate and improve methods, processes, and resource utilization to increase productivity, efficiency, and quality.
· Develop plans for the maximum utilization of materials, machines and team members.
· Review production costs and product quality; modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
· Develop and recommend plant capital and operating budgets to ensure conformance to budgets.
· Develop and implement sales strategies to drive price, revenue and profitability.
· Understand the market, market dynamics and customer base to maximize sales results.
· Develop, implement, and monitor business strategies to achieve company goals and maintain competitiveness.
· Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and staff to drive engagement, productivity, and accountability.
· Ensure a safe work environment through adherence to safety standards and fostering a strong safety culture.
· Monitor key performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners to support long-term growth.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive pricing, revenue, and profitability while maximizing market opportunities.
- Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and customer needs to guide decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and company requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: A minimum of five years progressively responsible related experience in production and operations management.
Experience and/or Training : Hands-on experience with day-to-day plant operations and sales. Knowledge of production workflows, capacity planning, and resource allocation. 5–10 years in supervisory or managerial roles (e.g., Production Supervisor, Sales Manager, etc.). Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. Involvement in long-term planning, budgeting, and cost optimization. Experience with process improvement and waste reduction. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Licenses/Certificates: None
Technology/Equipment: Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with ERP and manufacturing and sales systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MES).
